On May 21st and 22nd, a group of transportation professionals met at ITE Headquarters to review the 2nd edition of the
Trip Generation Handbook and make recommendations for the 3rd edition. These professionals looked at the results of a survey that included questions on improvements, clarifications, organization and new sources of information that should be included in the updated
Handbook.

As a result of the meeting, the group developed the following preliminary list of the content focus areas to be addressed in the revision process:

Application of Trip Generation Community
Additionally, we have set up a new community called Application of Trip Generation. This community is open to all who'd like to join and discuss various aspects of trip generation.
