This year marks a significant milestone in ITE’s history, as the organization will be led for the first time by an all-female Executive Committee—myself as International President, International Vice President Rosana Correa, and Immediate Past President Alyssa Rodriguez. ITE is committed to advancing the role of women within its leadership ranks and has joined the MobilityXX Pledge, a campaign to increase the number of women in the transportation industry by 10 percent over the next 10 years. WTS International, the pledge asks public and private sector organizations to commit to this goal by completing two or more action steps—like baselining gender and diversity makeup and measuring annually, diversifying programming to ensure varied perspectives are represented, and moreover the next year.
