Interested in Being Considered as an ITE International Vice President Candidate?

The Institute provides an annual opportunity for individuals who wish to stand for election for the office of International Vice President to be considered for nomination. ITE is currently seeking potential candidates for 2014. Although the Board of Direction has discussed possible revisions to the ITE election process, the next election will be conducted under the current rules.

In order to be considered for nomination, you should have the following qualifications and attributes:

  1. Fellow-level membership in the Institute in good standing
  2. Proven leadership skills
  3. Demonstrated public speaking skills
  4. Experience in conducting meetings
  5. Working knowledge of budgeting
  6. An understanding of the current needs of the membership and the issues facing the Institute and the profession in the near and long term.
  7. The support of your employer and the ability of committing the necessary time and energy to fulfill the demands of the office.

Please also consider attending the reception for prospective candidates that will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012, from 3:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m., in Room 203 D in the America’s Mart at the ITE Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. The reception will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the ITE Executive Committee, meet the nominating committee members, and understand the time and effort commitments required to fulfill the roles of President, Vice President, and Past President of the Institute.
