What is so great about GREAT STREETS?

This 90 minute webinar is your opportunity to find about APA's Great Street's Program and case studies of cities that have implemented Great Streets. At the conclusion of this webinar, you may want to consider implementing Great Streets in your area.

Background:
Communities are looking at streets as more than a means of getting from point A to point B; streets are being viewed as public spaces for social interaction and recreation and to develop thriving businesses. Great Streets programs are one type of initiative helping to define the desired characteristics and components of streets that are being sought for implementation across the United States. Case studies will be discussed.

Learning Objectives:
1) Describe American Planning Association's characteristics of  Great Streets.
2) Provide an overview of the Great Streets program.
3) Discuss case studies and lessons learned from planning and implementing Great Streets.
