Bringing the Technical Conference to You... for Free

I  hope that all those in attendance will agree with me when I say that this year's ITE Technical Conference and Exhibit was one of the best yet. The exchange of information and collaboration between professionals of all sectors of the transportation industry was inspiring. The most popular sessions were decidedly the plenaries and roundtables.
Of course, so many of you were unable to attend, but that doesn't mean you can't benefit. ITE staff is working in the background to summarize the roundtable discussions and we will be providing the information right here on the Community for your use once they are ready. We will also be presenting two of the plenary sessions via the Web free of charge.

The first, A Conversation with Metropolitan Transportation Directors, will be held on Wednesday, March 20 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern. This session brought together a prestigious panel of transportation directors, who discussed the future of transportation with each other and the audience. Honorary Member Bob Crommelin called it the "best damn opening session" he'd seen, and he has seen quite a few over his 62 years as an ITE member, so he knows what he's talking about. Read more about the session or sign up for the Webinar now. Space is limited, so don't delay.

The second Web seminar will cover the Active Living - The Nexus of Transportation and Health plenary and will be held on Wednesday, March 27 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern. The panel included representatives from the health and active living sectors in addition to the transportation industry. They discussed how transportation professionals and other disciplines can work together to make communities healthier and more livable. Read more about the session or sign up for the Webinar now. Space is limited, so don't delay.

ITE is making a serious effort to put together the most useful sessions that will help take our members and the profession into the future. We can't do that without you. Tell us your ideas. What do you need to know to do your job better? Who are the people you need to connect with to find innovative solutions for the problems of today and tomorrow? Where do you think the future will take us? Comment here or email me us at ite_staff@ite.org.
