Your Technical Conference To Do List

Thank you for registering for the ITE 2012 Technical Conference and Exhibit. With just a few days left before the meeting, we wanted to make sure you are prepared. Please read on for your "to do lists" for before, during, and after the meeting.

Before You Go
 
 
Sign up for seminars. Pre-register now for one or more of five seminars to guarantee your seat. There is no additional charge for Technical Conference attendees to attend the seminars, but you must pre-register to make sure we have space for you.

Register for the Sustainable Transportation Tour. California has enacted a state law requiring that its regional transportation agencies develop a "Sustainable Communities Strategy" to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This tour visits key examples of how southern California communities have created transportation projects and programs to meet the requirements of the law into its transportation projects. $25 plus public transportation fare. Register now.

Design your plan of attack. Get a sneak-peek of the final program, now available online. You can also check out the schedule-at-a-glance, meetings list, and more on the conference web site. Figure out what you may want to attend now to make it easier on yourself later.

Prepare to network. The Technical Conference and Exhibit is a great chance for networking. Make sure to pack your business cards, and maybe even your resume.

Pack your college sweatshirt. Don't forget to pack your favorite college sweatshirt, t-shirt, or hat... or better yet, bring them all. The Pasadena Tailgate party on Monday night will be a great opportunity to show your colors and reminisce  about your college days with your peers.

When You Arrive
 
 
Pick up your registration packet. Registration is located at the Pasadena Convention Center in the Exhibit Hall Foyer. We recommend picking up your packet on Sunday between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. so you can sleep in a few minutes longer Monday morning, and skip the long lines. Registration hours.

Keep informed. A daily digest conference e-newsletter, linked to the ITE Community will be distributed to all ITE members each day of the conference. The newsletter will be written as a series of blog posts, enabling attendees to comment, rate the sessions, and contribute their own blog posts. To learn more visit Zach Pleasant, ITE Information Services Manager at Booth 216 in the Exhibit Hall where he will be answering questions and providing demonstrations.    

  

Be social. Join the online conversation about the conference through ITE's LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter pages. Twitter followers can use the hash tag #ITE2012TC for their comments on the conference.  


Exhibitors- start setting up. Exhibitor move in is Sunday from noon to 8:00 p.m. There will be a little time on Monday morning, 8:00 a.m.-9:30 a.m. to finish up, but you really should be done with the majority of your set up on Sunday. Full exhibit information.

Get the most of your registration. Make sure you make the most of the conference by attending as many educational and networking opportunities as possible. They are abundant! Check it out.

Check out the city. If you have the time, make sure to check out everything Pasadena and Southern California have to offer. There's so much to see and do and the weather is expected be in the mid-upper 70s with lots of sun.
After the Meeting
 
 
Get credit. To successfully earn PDH/IACET CEU after the conference you must complete an online tracking report and meeting evaluation. An email will be sent to all attendees after the conference with a link to the tracking form and evaluation. The link will also be posted on the conference Web page. Keep an eye out for it in your inbox!

Continue networking. Log on to the ITE Community and keep the conversation going with your peers. Build relationships and collaborate with your community to make the most of the networking you did on site.

Register for the Annual Meeting. The ITE 2012 Annual Meeting and Exhibit is just around the corner. Make sure you sign up early and get the best rates. Find out more.
