Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I) Guidance can improve safety and mobility by accelerating the deployment of V2I communication systems and associated applications. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has developed draft V2I Guidance to assist transportation system owners/operators as they deploy V2I technology. This guidance, which has not been finalized, can help transportation agencies and tollway authorities understand what a decision to deploy V2I technology could mean to their region, prepare for emerging V2I/V2V technologies and leverage federal-aid funds for deployment.
This webinar will describe elements of the draft V2I Guidance and resources available to transportation professionals, as well as commentary on the usefulness of the guidance and real-world agency experience.
This is the third of three webinars in the ITE Learning Hub Webinar Course,
Technology in Transportation— Happening Today and Preparing for Tomorrow.
