The Accessible Transportation Technologies Research Initiative (ATTRI) is a joint U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) initiative, co-led by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA), with support from the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Joint Program Office (JPO) and other Federal partners. ATTRI is conducting research into the use of ITS and other advanced technologies to improve the mobility of travelers with disabilities and older adults.


Transit agencies engaged or considering use of technologies to serve mobility needs of people with disabilities, veterans with disabilities and older adults will benefit from the information provided by this module.

Instructor:
Bruce Eisenhart
Bruce Eisenhart has 38 years of experience in systems engineering including 18 years developing large defense systems and 20 years in ITS.  He has been involved in all phases of system development, from requirements definition, through design, to system testing.  Since 1993 Bruce has applied his systems engineering expertise to The National ITS Architecture Program.  He is one of the foremost experts on the subject of ITS Architecture Development.  Since joining ConSysTec in 2001, he has continued to be a key member of The National ITS Architecture Team and has been active in the development of over 70 regional and statewide ITS architectures. Mr. Eisenhart is an NHI certified instructor, teaching courses in National ITS Architecture, Turbo Architecture, Improving Highway Safety with ITS, System Engineering, and Project Management for Transit Professionals.
