On Tuesday, June 16 the Transportation Planning Council and the Complete Streets Council are sponsoring the Planning for Complete Streets: Case Studies Webinar. This is part one of two webinars that will discuss the role of transportation professionals can play in passing and implementing Complete Streets policies and how stakeholder coalitions can support these efforts.
Part two of the web series will be on Thursday, July 16 called Planning for Complete Streets: City Showcase.
The Advocacy Committee and the Transportation Safety Council are sponsoring a free web panel discussion called Transportation Revolution-Achieving Vision Zero. The panelists will discuss approaches to address roadway safety and discuss the challenges facing the engineering community and what can be done. This webinar will be on Thursday, June 18.
On Thursday, July 9, the President & CEO of Smart Growth America, Geoff Anderson along with Dean Ledbetter, Senior Planning Engineer, North Carolina Department of Transportation, will discuss the "Safer Streets, Stronger Economies" report that shows that streets were usually safer after Complete Streets improvements and the Safety Benefits of Complete Streets.
