During the Student Member Roundtable, set to take place on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, 10:30 a.m.-12:00 Noon PDT in Room 603 of the Washington State Convention & Trade Center in Seattle, WA, a presentation will be given by Michelle Maffeo, Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, and Mac Lister, Program Director, ITS Joint Program Office, U.S. Department of Transportation.
The presentation will focus on ITS practice, challenges, vehicle automation, the job market in ITS, ITS training, and current education gaps, needs, and resources. After the short presentation, ITE and USDOT staff will request your feedback on your interests, prior knowledge, consideration of ITS for employment post graduation, and training needs.
