The U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) is seeking a Transportation Specialist for the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Joint Program Office (JPO). The position is located in Washington, DC.
This is an exciting professional opportunity to be a part of a team working on groundbreaking ITS research including connected and automated vehicles.
The USDOT’s ITS program supports the overall advancement of ITS through investments in major research initiatives, exploratory studies, and a deployment support program including technology transfer and training. The Transportation Specialist will manage the Program Management Office responsible for implementing and executing an enterprise program management methodology for all ITS JPO projects, evaluating the effectiveness of the ITS program as a whole, and evaluating individual research projects.
This position requires experience in analyzing and reviewing ITS policies and collaborating with public and private transportation stakeholders on the implementation, commercialization, and communication of ITS policies.
