Herb Citrin, NPA Valet OlympicsOn Saturday, June 15, Herb Citrin passed away just one month short of his 91st birthday. Herb was an inspirational leader in the industry, who was known for his integrity, class and sense of camaraderie. He founded Valet Parking Service in 1946 after returning from serving in the Navy during WWII, and is credited with introducing uniforms, high-level service and a successful business model to the valet profession.

NPA was fortunate to have him as a loyal member, who served on its Board of Directors, and was honored at the 2012 NPA Valet Olympics. He is a legend in the parking industry and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
