FTA issued a final rule that establishes procedures governing the implementation of the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Public Transportation Emergency Relief Program as authorized by MAP-21. The rule is not limited to Hurricane Sandy response. The rule includes a description of eligible projects, the criteria FTA will use to identify projects for funding, and additional details on how FTA will administer the program. The final rule is effective November 6, 2014.
